Kamal Nath's statement eye opener for adversaries of Art 370 | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 18: The newly elected Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath on Tuesday declared his government would give incentives to industries that provide 70% jobs to the local youth. He went on to add that people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh come to MP for jobs while "our own youth suffer for want of jobs." "Kamal Nath's statement should serve as an eye opener for the people who are demanding that Article 370 and 35-A should be revoked. J&K has been able to safeguard its identity due to the special status enjoyed by the state due to virtue of these Articles," said an analyst. He said that due to these Articles our people are able to get the jobs in our own state and outsiders have not out numbered us. "If Article 370 would not have been there our youth too would have suffered like the youth in other states and outsiders would have been calling the shots," the analyst added. "People who are claiming that revocation of Article 370 would put J&K on the path of progress are misleading the masses. Little do they know that its revocation would add to number of unemployed youth,' said a Kashmir watcher. Concerned people in Jammu and Kashmir believe that the state politicians need to follow Kamal Nath. "He has many lessons to teach. Instead of hollow slogans, let them allow local youth to set up industries in the state and create employment rather than waiting for outsiders to put the state on the path of development," he added. Pertinently the people of the state are up in arms against the attempts being made to tinker with Article 370 and Article 35-A of the constitution of India that guarantees special status to the state. These laws prevent non-locals from purchasing land in the state and stake their claim on government jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. |
