JAMMU, Dec 18: To encourage the students belonging to Rural areas, a contingent of 12 students i.e. 6 Girls and 6 Boys escorted by a male and female Teacher of Govt. Higher Secondary School Saruinsar left for participation in one week Inter State Junior Red Cross Training-cum-Study Camp, Kurukshetra (Haryana). The Camp is totally free for them and the expenditure involved is to be borne by Jammu/Harayana Red Cross. The Camp will provide the children and their leaders an opportunity to inculcate the spirit of selfless service, the objective of Red Cross and Junior Red Cross amongst the students. Before their departure, they were fine tuned by Sr. Counsellor S.C. Bali and Sushant Rawal, Lecturer. During interaction by Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region with the campers, they informed him that it is for the first time they are going out of state for any such activity and were thankful to the Red Cross Society for giving them this opportunity. They assured him that they will perform their best and bring laurels to the State. |
