ERTU demands release of pending salary of teachers | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Dec 18: The president of Education Reformation Teachers Union District Kishtwar Akhter Giri condemned the attitude of the Government and demanded release of pending salary of Teachers working under SSA. As per press statement, he said that Government teachers (master grade) recruited through Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) but unfortunately state government is not paying heed to their issues. He also said that government was playing hide and seek policy over the deprivation of the Seventh Pay Commission and irregular disbursal of salaries. He added that some of the Masters are at the verge of getting retired but they have not been given the benefits of the Seventh Pay Comm-ission. The SSA teachers, Masters,RRTs are going through mental trauma and inferiority complex because of ignorance shown by the concerned authorities.The teaching fraternity under the SSA Scheme are being ill-treated and deprived of their legitimate rights. There salaries are not being released on time. It sometimes takes three to four months, thus making them through financial crisis. He further said the extreme financial crisis compels them to take loans from banks which in turn becomes a source of humiliation for them as later they are not able to repay it on time. |
