JAMMU, Dec 18: The student of class VIII Sufyan Waheed Sohil of Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School is selected in Khelo India Talent (KIT) by Talent Identification and Development Committee (TIDC).
He is the only student of Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School Jammu, who has been selected in 'Fencing' from J&K state. The school has been providing efficient coaching to him, so he is able to get such a position. It will provide requisite support to enable the athlete to fulfill his dreams and take India Sports to great heights. Under this programme, the athlete will be supported for a maximum of 08 years. Out of the grant of Rs. Five Lakh per athlete per year available under this programme, a stipend of Rs. 1,20,000/- (Rs. One lakh twenty thousand only) for the whole year will be given in cash. |
