FFPTA members call on Governor | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 18: The Forum for Peace and Territorial Integrity (FFPTA) today called on Governor and discussed various aspects of loss of lives both at the hands of militants as also security forces. The deputation was led by Sheikh Ab. Rehman (Ex-MP) Chief Patron, I.D Khajuria (President), Advocate Jameel Kazmi (Gen. Secretary), Ram Singh Chauhan (Addl. Gen. Secretary) and Dr. Narinder Khajuria (Treasurer). The Forum is engaged in awakening the people in the State about the cherish principles of father of the Nation "Mahatama Gandhi" the AHINSA and striving for the need of peace in the State through bi-lateral talks between the two neighboring nuclear countries - India & Pakistan for resolving all issues through peaceful methods. While briefing the Governor about the importance of peace in the State, the deputationists maintained that a civilized Nation cannot afford to perpetuate bloodshed of its own citizens and that there is no alternative to dialogue for peace to avoid loss of lives of common citizens as also valiant Jawans of security forces. The deputationists while stressing to curb the menace of corruption in the State brought to the notice of Governor that out of total 312 cases of corruption against high profile political figures and bureaucrats, only 164 cases have been presented in the court of law and remaining 148 cases have been kept under the carpet due to impact and clout of pressure of the political and bureaucratic nature which need be expedited without further delay. |
