Poonch, Jan 4: Although state and union governments are claiming to provide quality roads in entire state but the ground situation narrates a different story, locals of Poonch said. Alleging a nexus between the PWD (R&B) department and the contractors, the locals said that the contractors have used sub-standard material while constructing the roads during the past three years in Mendhar, Mandi, Poonch, Surankote and elsewhere. They added that almost all the roads have developed potholes. They have sought a probe into what they called a scam. |
