Jammu, Jan 10: Student volunteers of Junior Red Cross won several medals in the inter-state junior Red Cross training camps held at Kurukshetra Haryana. Two contingents comprising of 6 boys & 6 girls with a male and female teacher (Redcross Counsellors) representing Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Surinsar, Govt. Hr.Sec. Schools of Border areas of Jourian and R.S.Pura represented J&K State in one week Inter-State Junior Red Cross Training-cum-Study Camps. The camp was totally free for them and the expenditure involved was borne by Red Cross Jammu. The teams won 9 prizes in the camp. During these 7 days Camps volunteers were trained on topics such as History of Red Cross Movement, Fundamental Principles, First Aid, HIV/AIDS, Health & Hygiene, Voluntary Blood Donation, Road Safety and Leadership, Personality Development, demonetization. |
