Sanjeev receives best poster presentation award | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 10: Dr. Sanjeev Kumar son of Ram Prashad resident of Mohalla Khakhal Bhadarwah has been conferred with "Best Poster Presentation Award in World's largest five day science spectacle and congregation '106th Indian Science Congress (ISC-2019)' at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar (Punjab) on 07th of January, 2019. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 5000/- (Rs five thousand), a certificate and a memento. Dr. Kumar was honoured with this award for his outstanding contribution and recognition in the field of Mushroom Science. Dr. Sanjeev is an alumnus of the Department of Botany, University of Jammu, Jammu who did his Doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Yash Pal Sharma and is presently posted at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Bhalra, Bhaderwah. He has worked extensively on the wild mushroom flora of Jammu and Kashmir and has presented his research across the country and abroad. Earlier, Dr. Kumar has received a number of prestigious national and international recognitions including Science Investigator Award & Leading Educationist of India Award (2018); Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Scientific Excellence (2017); SBMLS Gold Medal Award in Applied Biotechnology (2015), Jammu and Kashmir Innovative Science Teacher Award (2013), Young Scientist Award (2011, 2013); Summer Research Fellowship (2011) by INSA (Indian National Academy of Science, New Delhi), Prof. M.J. Thirumalachar Memorial award (2007) from the Mycological Society of India and many best paper and poster presentation awards during scientific congregations. |
