Ex-central paramilitary personnel hold protest

Jammu, Jan 10: A demonstration was held by the Ex- Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association consisting of BSF, CRPF, JTBP, SSB; CISF and Assam Rifles) at Jammu press Club today, under the President ship of Ram Lal Dogra for redress of genuine demands.
The members of association pressed upon the central government and state Government for redresses of their genuine demands which are pending since long. They added in single voice said demands which were put forth from time to time before the centre and State but the same were not fulfilled till date and the assurances were given to redress the same.
The members said we demanded issuance of notification on J&K State Level for Shaheed Ka Darrja, state Reservation Quota for recruitment of their wards in the State Government and admission in the Educational Institutions under special quota. Implementation of pension benefits pre-2004 pensioners.
Revision of pension of 6th & 7th Pay Commission to the Para Military Forces who are getting the pension from J&K Treasury for which the Central Government has already issued notifications for implementation of the 6th & 7th Pay Commission in favor of left over pensioners who are suffering badly on this account.
Also to provide job opportunity to the wards of Martyrs, who laid their lives on J&K Border, LOC due to militancy for recruitment under SRO 43 in the State of J&K on the pattern of all other state of India.
The Ex-Paramilitary Forces welfare Association has also decided in a recently held meeting at New Delhi that in case their genuine demands will not be fulfilled within 25th of January 2019 they will boycott to cast their vote in the Parliamentary election which is scheduled to be held in April 2019.
The President of the Association has also said that the promotion of CISF has not kept withheld 1994 onwards has not given any promotion benefits and appointments are made directly of HC, SI and Assistant Commandant at the ratio of 70% and who have services of 33 and above are still in their,own pay and grade and no benefits of promotion of ranks has been provided to them.
