UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: Locals of villages of Chowki, Rassain, Majua, Katwalt, Sounthla, Lank, Surni in teshil Ramnagar of District Udhampur staged a protest against PHE department for no supply of drinking water for the last one year.
Villagers said that the PHE department is not supplying drinking water due to which the locales are totally dependent on the natural sources of water which is generally mixed with dirt and mud.
They alleged that due to the consumption of contaminated water people especially kids and old aged are developing intestinal problems.
They said that the pipeline is broken from many places but the department has not repaired it till now. |
