| Several villages without water for months together | | |

Mendhar, Jan 10: Several villages of Mankote area of Mendhar including Sikman, Topa and Kani are without water supply for the last three months as the pumping station is lying defunct.
The villagers alleged that motor-pump of Kani PHE Pumping station went out of order a three months after which the water supply to several adjoining villages and hamlets has been affected.
The matter was also brought to the notice of PHE staff at Mendhar Sub Division, but they claimed that fault pertained to PHE Mechanical wing Poonch. Saki Mohd have urged upon the Deputy Commissioner Poonch to come to the rescue of helpless public. |
