| Kidnapped girl recovered, accused arrested from Uttarakhand | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Jan 20: Police succeeded in recovering a kidnapped girl from Uttrakhand state and arrested the accused involved in kidnapping.
Police spokesman said that the minor girl was allegedly kidnapped by Reyaz Ahmed resident of Moman Kote village of tehsil Chasana in district Reasi.
Following the complaint lodged by family of the victim, a case under FIR No 118/2018 under sections 363/109 of RPC was registered in police station Thanamandi.
"During investigation in past few months, various raids were made by police at several places at Srinagar, Jammu, Reasi and other places to trace out the kidnapped girl but efforts failed to bring result", said spokesman.
He further said that three days ago, a reliable information was received that the kidnapped girl along with the accused are at Chamba district of Uttarakhand state.
Acting on the information a special team was constituted and was sent to trace the kidnapped girl and trace out the girl from Chamba district of Uttarakhand state.
The accused person was also arrested and put behind the bars at police station Thanamandi.
The kidnapped girl is admitted at district hospital Rajouri for medical aid. |
