Conference on recent trends in Science, Humanities concludes | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jan 20: A two-day long national conference on recent trends in Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities concluded here today. The valedictory function of the 3rd national conference on Science and Humanities concluded the two daylong academic event spread over nine technical sessions covering almost all areas of contemporary research. Dr Zahoor Ahmed Chatt, Director Colleges, J&K was the chief guest in the valedictory function whereas Dr Javaid Ahmed Qazi Principal of the College, presided over the function. Dr Zahoor appreciated the College Administration for providing a platform to the budding researchers from various Universities and Colleges. Dr Qazi lauded the entire college staff both teaching and non-teaching as well as students especially NSS volunteers and NCC cadets to making this dream event a reality and congratulated all for the successful accomplishment of this mega academic endeavour. Director, State Forest Research Institute (J&K) and noted environmentalist, OP Sharma Vidhyarti who was guest of honour on the occasion emphasized upon the research and activism that focus on the conservation of environment and local flora and fauna of the region. About 200 abstracts received from various Universities/Colleges and research institutions from various states of the country. A large number of delegates from various University/ Colleges from in and out-side the state presented the research papers through oral and poster presentation. About 20 plenary lectures while inviting various experts from different parts of country and states were made part of this two day interdisciplinary event. |
