Government Officers demand induction in KAS cadre | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 24: The officers of eighteen departments today appealed the Governor administration to promote 228 eligible promtoees into KAS cadre within quota slots. They informed that earlier most of the officers were inducted into KAS cadre by using the quota slots of other departments. They also appealed the Governor, Advisors to Governor, Chief Secretary and Commissioner/ Secr-etary to General Adminis-trative Departm-ent to personally look into the matter so that rights and genuine issue of KAS cadre officers may be resolved in a transparent way strictly. While hailing the measures taken by the Governor administration for welfare and career progression of the employees of the state Government by solving their all genuine issues at the earliest without any delay under rules. At present, there are 364 slots occupied by direct recruits against the share of 370 while this number is just 142 allotted to promotee group (18 services) out of their share of 370. In a statement, the officers demand that Government should take necessary steps for bridging this gap of 228 slots by way of allotting all the slots available with GAD and Establishment Committee constituted by the Government for the purpose. Pinning hope on the Governor, the officers were optimistic about the impartiality of the higher authorities of the present regime who would not allow any body to do anything which mars the rights of promotee group. "Let us see how the Government l honours the court direction, circulated in the form of Govt order No. 107," the officers said. |
