Katra, Jan 24: Police spokesman said that Katra Police today claimed to have arrested a person from Delhi for allegedly raping 45 years old women during the month of October 2015 when she came for yatra at Katra.
Police spokesman said that on 22.11.2018, Katra Police received a Zero FIR No.06/2018 under sections 376 and 506 of IPC from Police Station Pahar Ganj Delhi through Dak lodged by a female alleging that in the month of October 2015 one Mukesh Gupta of AG-211 Shalimar Bagh Delhi-88 A Govt. Employee raped her during yatra at Katra in a Hotel and also threatened her to kill her if she disclose to anyone.
"On this instant, a case under FIR No.13/2019 under sections 376 and 506 of RPC has been registered at Katra police station.
Keeping in view the seriousness of the case and heinous crime, on the directions of SSP Reasi-Nisha Nathyal , a special team was constituted by SP Katra-Naresh Singh headed by SI Nazarat Hussain of Katra police station for the arrest of accused from Delhi and after making hectic efforts the accused person arrested from CGEWHO Janpath Bhawan Connaught Palace Delhi under the supervision of SHO Katra police station Inspector Surinder Pal Singh, DySP Vivek Shekhar Sharma- SDPO Katra. |
