Some Police officers also want to silence ET | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 25: It's not bureaucrats and politicians only who have ganged up against the Early Times, some police officers, whose misdeeds were exposed by your newspaper have also made several attempts to silence us by resorting to different tactics. They have tried to file false and fabricated cases against us by lodging FIRs and false complaints. One of the police officers crossed all the limits of decency by abusing the family members of Early Times Editor and then circulating the abuses on the social networking sites and what's up groups. Your newspaper has faced the wrath from all the sides. Despite all the odds we have remained firm on our stand to side with the truth and have been doing it since the inception of Early Times. A few Police officers on many occasions have asked us to toe their line and be comfortable but our conscience has never permitted us to compromise with the truth. On the occasion of Republic Day we want to tell our tormentors that they should stop misusing is their official positions and need to show respect for sovereign, democratic and secular Republic of India. |
