JAMMU, Jan 28: Adbi Kunj organized Mehfil-e-Mushaira, here today to commemorate the 16th death anniversary of renowned poet Dr. Hari Vansh Rai Bachchan (Father of legendary film actor) Amitabh Bachchan. The meet was presided over by a renowned poet S. Manjit Singh Kaamara whereas young poets from Ladakh Jigmet Norbu (Khayal Laddakhi) and from Srinagar Sayil Imran Maqbool were the Guests of Honour. Aarash Dalmotra Chairman and Sham Talib President of the organization jointly conducted the proceeding of the meet. While paying tributes to Dr. Hari Vansh Rai Bachchan, they threw detailed light on the various aspects of the life and his contribution in Hindi Poetry. In the meet, Adbi Kunj also congratulated veteran poet and lyricist Javid Akhtar on his 74th birthday. In the composite poetic session, the poets recited their different kalams in various languages include Kheyal Laddakhi, Sayil Imran, Aarash Dalmotra, Babli Sharma, Chaman Sagoch, Ved Uppal, Bishan Dass Khak, Sanjeev Kumar, S.K.Gupta, Raj Kamal, Jatinder Bassan, Rajeev Kumar, Uttam Singh Rahi, Saparsh Sharma, M.S.Kamra, Sham Talib and on mobile from Mumbai Romesh Rahi. In the last Adbi Kunj condoled the sad demise of Khurshida Kazmi wife of S.H.H. Kazmi. The vote of thanks was presented by Aarash Dalmotra Chairman of the organization. |
