| People protest over water crisis, block road | | | Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Jan 28: The people from Harni and adjoining areas held protest against the PHE authorities for the water scarcity and blocked road for over an hour at Harni town.
A large number of villagers from Harni and Gultha assembled at Main Bazar Harni. The protest lead by President Kissan Mazdoor Union Mendhar Majid Khan bobby and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against the PHE authorities for their failure to provide adequate supply of water to the area. They alleged that water pipes were broken and not repaired since long and water supply to many localities has been snapped for several weeks. He appealed the Deputy Commissioner, Poonch and SDM Mendhar to look into the matter and ensure water supply in the village. |
