| DPS Udhampur takes out rally on safe driving | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Feb 9: In a bid to raise awareness about safe driving, students of DPS Udhampur in large numbers took out a rally, organized by ARTO Udhampur . The Cycle rally that commenced near DC.Office Udhampur was flagged off by ARTO Udhampur Rachna Sharma and ADC Udhampur & Addl.SP Tabassum. The rally was taken out as part of the Action Plan Activity of 30 th Road Safety week celebrations with the theme of "Sadak Swarksh Jeevan Raksha". The participant reached out to the public and campaigned on road safety. The main purpose of this Road show was to throw light on importance of 'safety rules'. In the campaign the students created awareness by raising motivational slogans. The ARTO Udhampur was mesmerized to see the keen initiative taken by the school. The charismatic students of DPS, Udhampur nailed purpose of this rally. Dr. J.C Gupta Pro-Vice Chairman of the school said their efforts were not going to be futile and it would make a difference in thousands of lives. Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand said that more than 1 lakh people lose their lives in accident every year such rallies can prove really beneficial.
He lauded the effort put in by students. The rally preceded though the thorough fares of the town and culminated at the ARTO Office Udhampur. |
