Poonch, Feb 9: Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Sathra thrown has issued a notice for GPDP plan of Panchayat at Higher Secondary School Fatehpur instead of Panchayat Ghar Fatehpur. Locals of Panchayat expressed their strong resentment over the issue and said, BDO Sathra is throwing the norms to winds. Locals of Fatehpur informed Early Times that a Panchayat Ghar having three halls available and the sarpanch is deliberately forcing public to organize meeting in HSS. When contacted the BDO said, "we need a ground for Gram Sabha for which we are going to organize it in HSS." Locals informed that there is land available infront of Panchayat Ghar. They said, government has invested lakh for the construction of Panchayat Ghar and the concerned are misleading the norms.
They have appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to take strict action into the matter and direct concerned not to organize meeting in school complex. |
