Jammu, Feb 9: The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Jammu chapter, organised a poster-making competition under the initiative " Paani ki Kahaani" at Jodhmal Public School today. As many as 45 children from different schools of Jammu participated in the competition. The students made several kind of paintings and also wrote 300 words to explain the theme of their paintings which highlighted the natural heritage. These all entries will be assessed in New Delhi and there will be 100 regional winners and 10 national winners of this competition. SM Sahni, convenor, INTACH, Jammu chapter said " This is a pan India competition and in the coming days such competitions will be organised in other parts of the country". On the occasion Trilok Singh Bist, Principal Jodhmal Public School was the chief guest and he complimented the children and teachers from all schools on their participation and exhorted them to take interest in such heritage promotion and conservation steps. Among others present on the occassion were Nandani Bakshi, S.S. Rissam, Rajesh, Sandeep, Adv. Shantanu, Mubeen, Suvidha and Sapna. |
