| Red Cross establishes Community Kitchen at Ramban | | |  Early Times Report
Ramban, Feb 9: Due to closure of Jammu-Srinagar Highway during the recent snowfall and landslides around 350 Srinagar bound passengers were stranded at different locations along the stretch between Banihal & Ramban on the nights of 7th & 8th Feb., 2019. A team of Red Cross Volunteers from District Ramban worked tirelessly; evacuated the passengers and escorted them to different shelter places identified by the district administration. With the help of the District Administration, these volunteers also established a Community Kitchen for the Stranded passengers and served food to all the inmates. Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State has assured all possible support to the Civil Administration during the time of any emergent situation across the State and lauded the efforts of the volunteers during this time of emergency. |
