JAMMU, Feb 9: Ambedkar Gupta the newly elected General secretary of Karate Association of India was given a rousing reception at Jammu by the sporting community. Ambedkar Gupta General secretary KAI was received at Jammu and Kashmir after attending first governing body meeting of KAI at Guwahati. Ambedkar Gupta started learning martial arts in 1998 as his interest was to learn karate for self defence he also get trained in London in the year 1998 where he learned different martial arts including Goju Ryu Karate. His carrier in karate started in the year of 2002 when he qualified black belt in Shito Ryu Karate there after he started struggling for affiliations and recognization which was really a very difficult job but he keep struggling with the politics of Association and paralytic system of government administraton of J&K.
Meanwhile, he became the president of AKAJK in 2012 but corrupt system doesn't make him grow in state and on the other side his hard work keep promoting in at national and international level of Karate he became coach of Indian National Karate team in the year 2011 wherein for the first time a player from J&k also represent India in world championship. He was also elected as Joint Secretary of Karate Association of India in year 2013 and earlier joint secretary of All india Karate federation in the year 2010. Now this was a great honor that he was declared unopposed elected General Secretary by Returning officer, retired Justice honorable High court Delhi Rekha Sharma election was held on 8th of January 2018 at New Delhi. |
