Jammu, Feb 9: In a general body meeting of Casual labours executive body was unanimously elected today by labours working under the Directorate of Agriculture and its subordinate offices including Seed Multiplication Farms at Krishi Bhawan, Jammu under the title of Agriculture Workers and Casual Labour Union (AWCLU), Jammu.
The body had been formed to highlight the various demands, problems of the Agriculture Casual Labour including health and life insurance besides general welfare. Director of Agriculture, Jammu H.K Razdan, Joint Director Agriculture, Bulesh Sharma Zutshi, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Jagmohan Bhat, Potato Development Officer, A.S Reen graced the occasion with their presence. The office bearers elected include Devinder Singh President, Tilak Raj General Secretary, Kulbhushan Kumar Convener, Chain Singh Cashier, Ganesh Dutt Publicity Secretary. Besides Ashwani Sharma, Dilbir Singh, Gian Chand, Amar Preet, Ajay Kumar, Balbir Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Sudesh Sharma, Surjeet Singh and Avatar Singh were elected as Executive Members of the Union. Later newly elected members had a detailed meeting regarding the aims and objectives of the union with H.K Razdan, Director Agriculture. |
