Pakistan violates ceasefire | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 19: On a day when Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan talked about peace, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control at the Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. This is the second incident of ceasefire violation in Rajouri since the attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama on February 14. The Indian Army retaliated and an exchange of fire was continuing in the area. Pakistani forces targetted Indian posts along the LoC in at Sehar, Namb and Bhawani areas. Pakistani soldiers initiated firing from small arms and fired automatic and mortar shells. They violated ceasefire and fired at Indian posts in Rajouri district on February 16. An Indian soldier was injured in the unprovoked firing by Pakistani troops. The ceasefire violation by Pakistan followed an IED blast in the same sector in which an Army major was martyred. |
