| JKTF discusses filling of vacant Chairman' post | | |

Jammu, Feb 19: A state level meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was held at Jammu in which members of State executive body, provincial bodies from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were also present.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding the filling of the post of Chairman which became vacant after the resignation of A.Q Wani. A marathon session was held between the members of State/Provincial body for the election of the Chairman of JKTF.
On the conclusion of the meeting a historical decision was taken by all the present members and Ganesh Khajuria was unanimously elected as new State Chairman of JKTF and Mohd. Akbar Khan was elected as State President. After election both the new incumbents pledged to take the forum to the new heights with the support of teaching community who had been giving unconditional support to the forum.
Speaking on the occasion both the leaders assured that the genuine and legitimate demands of the teaching community would be taken up with higher authorities vigorously to sort out the problems being faced by the teaching community. All the members present in the meeting extended their whole heartedly support to Ganesh Khajuria and Mohd. Akbar Khan and assured them to work with full zeal and zest to get all the issues of teaching community resolved and to take the FORUM to the new heights. |
