SRS seeks action against anti-national elements | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 19: Shri Ram Sena (SRS) on Tuesday demanded to lift curfew as nationalists and patriotic Dogras have been made to suffer unnecessarily without any of their fault. Shri Ram Sena J&K President Rajiv Mahajan said that authorities may continue restrictions under Section-144 on public gatherings but the curfew must be lifted henceforth. As internet in Jammu division remained suspended for the fifth consecutive day on Tuesday, he sought its immediate restoration so that the routine activities are not hampered further. He said Jammuites belonging to all religions will never permit their land to be used for anti-national utterances and people indulging in such slogans should stand warned on this account. Mahajan regretted that official identity cards of the Civil Secretariat employees and the staff deployed with Essential Services are being treated as curfew pass to facilitate their movement and asked whether the curfew is for Jammu Dogras only. He further noted that there is concerted effort by politician of Kashmir and their stooges sitting in Jammu to cause division on religious lines to divide society. He said SRS would not tolerate anyone raising slogans like 'Pakistan Zindabad' on Indian soil. Seeking strict action against anti-India activities, Mahajan said that there can be no compromise on issues of national security. |
