| TA welcomes reservation to border migrants | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 23: Tawi Andolan has welcomed the decision of central and state government where by people living on international border at Jammu, Kathua and Samba shall be benefited due to grant of 3% reservation in recruitment and admission in professional colleges at par with people living on LoC.
"People of border area were biggest suffer as they were denied basic human rights and were living under sub human standards, "Convenor Chander Mohan Sharma said this while addressing a meeting of organization activists here.
Sharma criticized previous regimes for ignoring these people by not granting basic facilities. They have always victims of cross firing. He appealed to the Central Govt. to give special package for development of Border area.
Sharma further demanded that in view of the ensuing festival of Mahashivratri, there is need of special security for temples. He said that Goovt. Should provide 5Kg sugar for each of the family. Others who were present in the meeting were included Subash Shastri, Romesh Sharma and Viasdev and several others. |
