| Excise sleuths conduct raids in Kathua | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 23: Continuing its efforts against illicit distillation & sale of liquor, Excise department destroyed around 1000 Kgs of Lahan and 10 liters of illicit liquor during different raids carried out against illicit liquor in Excise Range Kathua & interacted with families of lower Sakta Chak involved in illicit distillation for rehabilitation.
On the directions of the Excise Commissioner Talat Parvez Rohella and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive) Jammu S. Amarjeet Singh, the Excise Team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Rafie Naik, Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar & Razi Ahmad, SI Amit Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar along with Excise Guards Rajinder Singh, Akeel Ahmad & Jyoti Prakash raided the Jakhbhar Dhambra, Mahi Chak & Chakdrab Khan to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
In the process more than 10 liters of illicit liquor & 1000 Kgs of Lahan raw material of illicit liquor, which is highly hazardous and injurious for health was recovered by the raiding team from state land & later destroyed on spot. |
