India should act tough against Pak: Prof Gupta | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 23: The former Union Minister Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has stated that under the global pressure Pakistan may demonstrate some sort of action against certain terror outfits operating from its soil but the fact remains that cross border terrorism has been a part of its policy since long back and the happenings of many years past clearly indicate that all these groups operate under the command and control of notorious ISI, a wing of Pakistan Army, which dominate the polity of the theocratic state. The involvement of Pakistan could be judged from the fact that since outbreak of this proxy war over a lakh of deadly weapons including about forty thousand of AK series of guns and UBGL, have been recovered. These recoveries also include most modern devices which could not be available easily in any market. Moreover, thousands of ultras have indulged in crossing the border/Loc under the cover of fire by the Pak Army and the violations of ceasefire had been going on there in large numbers, he added and said that all this speaks in volumes about the involvement of the country claiming innocence now but for international pressure. He also observed that many problems in Kashmir had been there but for frequently changing their colours by certain politicians, especially when being out of power. In fact they are committed to no faith or philosophy but to have their own selfish ends even ignoring what they have been saying yesterday. |
