Police cracks burglary case of Battalkote shrine; stolen property recovered, one held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 30: District Police Poonch claimed to have solved a burglary case within an hour from its occurrence and also arrested the burglar and recovered the stolen property today from his possession. Police spokesman said that on the intervening night of 29/30-03-2019 at around 0200hrs one person namely Mumtaz Ali of Bhatidhar Mendhar, a serving employee in Sheep husbandry department broke the safe of Ziarat Shareef Sain Elahi Baksh RA at Battalkote (Loran) and decamped with the cash of Rs 28635. Police spokesman further said that the accused person also used his motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02P-5423 as a mean of conveyance .After committing the offence, he was on way from Battalkote to Poonch. Consequently, under the supervision of SSP Poonch-Ramesh Kumar Angral, teams were constituted led by DySP Hqrs-Aijaz Bhat and SHO Mandi-Inspector Ravinder Rakwal and SHO Loran-Inspector Tilak Raj and they swung into action immediately and acting swiftly, he was stopped at by a naka party within the jurisdiction of Mandi but he over speeded the naka and subsequently he was chased and was overpowered. "During questioning, he admits the offence and the cash and the tools used for breaking the safe were also recovered from him. On this, a case under FIR No. 01/2019 under sections 457 and 380 RPC has been registered at Loran and investigation was taken up. |
