J&K ADSWF pitches for up liftment of Dalits

Jammu, Apr 7: All J&K Ambedkar Dalit Samaj Welfare Forum (ADSWF) organized a press conference at Guru Ravi Dass Complex near Guru Ravi Dass Mandir at Rajpura Jammu. During the press conference Dalit Leaders including President Ashok Jogi, Romesh Angurana, Dev Anand Gill, Dr. Om Parkash Bhagat, Tarsem Lai and Vijay Loach highlighted the aims and objectives behind the formation of All J&K Dalit Samaj.
Dalit leaders exhorted that main aim behind the formation of forum is to educate Dalit Samaj about the life and teachings of Dr. Baba Sahib Ambedkar and also to work for the up liftment of Dalit Samaj as well as down-trodden and weaker section of the society. The forum would also approach social welfare department for releasing of scholarship of SC, ST students who has not been paid scholarship since last 3-4 years. Dalit Forum would also come forward to extend moral, financial support to the brilliant student of Dalit Samaj.
Dalit leaders also stressed upon the Samaj to provide better education to their children so that they could come at par with the students of general category students. Students who secured more than 90% marks would be honoured by the forum on 14th April, 2019. Dalit leaders also announced that All J&K Ambedkar Dalit Samaj Welfare Forum would celebrate the Birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar atlarge scale at Guru Ravi Dass Complex at Guru Ravi Dass Mandir Rajpura Mangotra, Jammu on 14th of April, 2019 at 1100 hrs.
All members of the society are requested to attend the function. Among others following prominent leaders also attended the press conference S/Sh. Mangal Dass Dogra, Rakesh Bhagat, Mohan Lai Bavoria, Dalip Thapa, Shanker Kumar, Bachan Bhagat, Prabhu Dayal Bhagat, Rattan Lai, Gunga Kumar, Sunil Thapa, Yash Pal Thapa, Tarsem Loach and Krishan Lai (Tittu), Mohan Lai (Raju), Rashpal Digra, Dr. Tara Chand Kundal, Dr. CD. Thapa.
