| Two persons arrested for manufacturing illegal liquor | | |

Rajouri, Apr 7: Police has arrested two persons for their involvement in illegal manufacturing of liquor in Rajouri Nowshera area. A team of police headed by SHO Nowshera Mohammad Amin Malik under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma and Addl SP Nowshera GL Sharma raided a location in Langer Nowshera village. During raid, a man identified as Nanak Chand son of Amar Nath resident of Langer has been arrested and 3 litres of liquor and 25 kilograms of Lahaan was seized from the spot. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Nowshera police station. Similarly, a team of police headed by SHO Nowshera Mohammad Amin Malik under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma conducted a raid in Hanjana Thakra village of Nowshera.
During raid police arrested one person namely Sushil Kumar son of Sardari Lal resident of Hanjana Thakra and seized 4 Litres of illicit liquor and 10 kilograms of Lahaan alongwith working still and utensils. In this connection a case FIR NO 58/2019 u/s 48(a) and 48(e) excise act has been registered in Nowshera police station. |
