NSS camp concluded | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 18: A week long NSS camp on the theme "Be Brave to save others & yourself" concluded at K.C. College of Education today. This seven day camp was organized with the help of Dr. Meena Sidhu, HOD, Blood Bank, Madam Naseem Akhtar, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu and Simmi Trehan, the yoga instructor. The volunteers of the NSS unit performed many other activities-awareness programmes like civil defence, right to vote, tree plantation, yoga, symposium, blood donation etc. The occasion was marked by a symposium on the topic "Role of Youth in NSS". The programme started with lighting of lamp followed by 'Saraswati Vandana'. The programme officer, NSS Priya Gupta presented a complete report of the week-long activities undertaken during the camp. The volunteers put up an excellent performance. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Tickoo, Principal of the college said that such programmes go a long way in inculcating the values and morals among the students. He lauded the efforts of volunteers and the teachers who worked whole-heartedly to make the programme a success. |
