Abid Hussain Wani Early Times Report Doda, Apr 18: 60.5% polling was recorded in Doda district, in which 53-Doda 61.7% and 54-Bhaderwah 59.5%. Huge rush was witnessed in the polling stations in hilly areas to cast their vote for Doda-Udhampur-Kathua Parliamentary Lok Sabha seat in the second phase of election in Jammu & Kashmir on 18th of April 2019 amid tight security arrangements were made by J&K administration. This Lok Sabha seat is one of the largest constituency in whole Jammu and Kashmir which included over 17 Assembly Constituency in six districts Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Udhampur, Reasi and Kathua where atleast 16,85,779 electors ate registered as general voters in which 20,312 as service voters. Reports said that, there is a neck to neck fight between two national party Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party. In this contest, total 12 candidates are participating included Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, BJP candidate Dr Jitendera Singh Fromer MP, Lal Singh Found DSS, Harsh Dev Singh J&K National Panther Party, Tilak Raj Bhagat, BSP, Mohd Ayoub Navrang Congress Party, Meenakshi Shiv Sena, Bansi Lal, Rakesh Mudgal, Shabir Mughal, Garib Singh and Firdous Ahmed are independent Candidates. |
