| Rajouri police destroy poppy straw cultivation | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Apr 18: J&K Police of district Rajouri today destroyed illegal cultivation of poppy straw from a field in Sawari under the jurisdiction Police Station Kandi . Reports said that a specific information was received that a person namely Mohammad Altaf son of Mohammad Bashir resident of Sawari has cultivated poppy plants illegally in his agriculture land in the area. On this information a case FIR No 34/2019 under sections 8/15 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Kandi and a team of police party of PS alongwith Naib Tehsildar Kandi (executive magistrate first class ) and Patwari Halqa concerned rushed to the spot for investigation and all legal formalities were completed. The cultivation was destroyed thereafter. |
