| Elected Council, CEO MC, DDC Udhampur lack co-ordination, alleges social activist | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Apr 23: A social activist and former SSP Mahadeep Singh Jamwal has alleged that there is lack of co-ordination between elected council, CEO council and District Development Commissioner Udhampur, which hampered the developmental works.
"Whenever any activity is taken up towards encroachment, beautification of the town, work of improvement in lanes and drains or systemization of menace of ''Rehris and Kiosks, it becomes a matter of controversy between elected body and CEO municipal council Udhampur and development activities get pushed to the back foot", he alleged.
He further said that it was observed on many occasions that elected body of Udhampur council and Chief Executive Officer MC Udhamur come face to face. The President of the Council alleged that CEO MC Udhampur neither take him into confidence nor obtain permission for activities at his level, whereas CEO Udhampur speaks of the actions on his part as per directions and orders of the District Development Commissioner Udhampur, he alleged.
Jamwal further said that an unpleasant message is trickling in the public domain of lack of co-ordination between elected body of Udhampur council, Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Udhamur and District Development Commissioner Udhampur. |
