| Sarpanch, Chowkidar booked for molested women | | | Early Times Report
Doda, May 9: An FIR has been registered against Sarpanch and Chowkidar for allegedly trying to molested 25 years old women at a village Mangota, in Doda today.
As per the complaint by victim women, a day ago Sarpanch, Chowkidar and other members visited her home for panchayat discussion where Sarpanch, Chowkidar among two other where they tried to molested the women by this heinous crime. Meanwhile, the women family started to worry about her and started to look for the accused.
On the complaint of her parents, Doda Police women cell has been filed FIR under section 354& 334 of the Indian Penal Code against the two main accused Sarpanch and Chowkidar attempting to molested 25 year women in Marmat who are on the run. The accused have been identified as Ashfaq Ahmed Wani Sarpanch, Shabir Ahmed Wani Chowkidar from Mangota-B at Tehsil Marmat in Doda district. The incident took place in the area which falls under the jurisdiction of Doda Police Station.
Locals of the area said that, it is propaganda by the some opposition workers as Sarpanch and Chowkidar belongs to Congress party. Locals alleged that, the panchayat was held in the victim home about land dispute between the relatives where both relatives are trying to fight on the issue, but unfortunately that, some people highlight the issue as another angel.
Meanwhile, Women cell police team Doda reached the placed and start investigation the matter and trying to arrest the accused who are on the run. |
