| Mendhar villages without water for 6 months | | |

MENDHAR, May 9: Lower Naka Manjhari village of Block Balakote in sub division Mendhar and its surrounding hamlets are without water for the last five months due to callus approach of PHE Department.
The residents of the village said that they were suffering acute shortage of water in their areas and adjoining Naka Manjhari as water supply in the area has been affected for last six months
The villagers alleged that water pumping station at the village went out of order six months ago but the concerned PHE authorities failed to get it repaired and restore supply.
The local sarpanch Saif Ahmed Khan said the matter was brought to the notice of concerned JE, AE and even the AEE PHE Mendhar and exen Poonch but unfortunately no action was taken.
The people of the affected areas registered strong protest today against PHE Department. |
