JAMMU, May 9: Writers' Forum Jammu today organized a multilingual mushaira at K L Saigal Hall, Cultural Academy Complex, Jammu. Gyaneshwar, a well known writer of Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Prof Lalit Magotra presided over the programme. Prithvi Raj Sharma, music director was the special guest on this occasion. A large number of intellectuals, writers and artists attended the programme. Pritpal Singh Betab, Patron, WF and Sudhir Mahajan, President WF shared the dais. Pritpal Singh Betab, veteran Urdu Ghazal writer, chief patron, Writers' Forum welcomed the guests and gave a brief detail of the activities being conducted by Writers forum, Jammu. In his presidential address, Prof Lalit Magotra congratulated Writers' Forum for a nice programme of multilingual poetry session. He appreciated the poets for presenting good poetry in the multilingual mushaira through which the spirit of national integration as well as unity in diversity was displayed. The senior and young poets recited poetry in different regional languages like Dogri, Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi etc. the poets who recited their poetry included Swami Antar Nirav, Jang S Verman, Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Sushil Begana, Usha Kiran, Rajpaul Singh Mastana, Sauju Bhasin, Sham Sajan, Suellin Mahajan, Raj Manawari, Suman Pal, Tarachand Kalandari, Amar Singh Kuka, Irfan Aarif, Harjit Singh Uppal, Raj Manawari, Amarjeet Kaur Neer, Pritpal Singh Betab and others. |
