Udhampur, May 9: The Chief Education Officer Udhampur has sought details of 20 employees who had violated Model Code of Conduct in the district. Sources told Early Times that the Zonal Education Officers and Principals of Higher Secondary Schools at Marta, Kalwanta , Latti, Gordi , Majlata and other areas have been asked to provide the details of the employees who "openly violated" MCC. It may be recalled that one month ago Additional Chief Electoral Officer J&K had received a complaint under ref no. 1820/ceo/eslec/2019/11355 dated 30-3-2019 against the government employees who were seen taking part in political activities in Ramnagar for the parliamentary elections. The employees included as many as 20 teachers, headmasters and lecturers. They were found guilty of violating the MCC. The Chief Education Officer Udhampur has issued the notice to their immediate bosses and has asked them to submit their report within 24-hours so that action could be initiated against them, sources added.
