Kathua, May 11: All India Council for Technical Education (Delhi) in Collaboration with Higher Education Department, J&K, Government\ organized One Day Awareness Workshop on Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) at Govt. Degree College, Kathua (Venue Govt. College for Women, Kathua). The workshop was inaugurated by Special Secretary Department of Higher Education Choudhary Rashid AzamInqalabi . In his inaugural address Choudhary R.A. Inqalabi laid emphasis on PMSS registration and document verification so that all the 5000 seats allotted to J&K may be utilized by the students of the state. Special Secretary also conducted an interaction meet with the faculty members of GDC ,Kathua and GDCW , Kathua after culmination of Awareness Workshop. He also appreciated the efforts of Degree College Kathua for a large scale document verification of the students. He said that an all out effort should be made at all levels so that the students may avail the golden opportunity provided by the Ministry of HRD to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier Principal Govt. Degree College, Kathua, Dr. Tilak Raj Sharma in his welcome address, highlighted the role of GDC Kathua in making the PMSSS an result oriented programme. |
