| Wushu Association organizes selection trials | | |  Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 11: Wushu Association of J&K organized selection trial for junior as well as senior boys and girls at Indoor Stadium Srinagar. About 200 players across the state participated in the selection trial. 30 players (Boys and Girls) have been shortlisted for the selection trial to be organized by the Wushu Association of India at Sports Authority of India (SAI) for the selection in the national coaching camp for the Junior Asian championship to be held at Brunei and 15th World sushi championship to be held at Shanghai. The Manager indoor Mushtaq Zargar flagged off the team and wished the members best of luck for the trials. He appreciated Wushu Association of J&K for organizing selection trials at Indoor stadium Srinagar to get the better stuff for further selection for the national squad.Pertinent to mention here that during the last junior world championship at Brazil, a Wushu player from J&K got its first ever medal for the state where as similarly in the 14th World Wushu championship at Kazan (Russia) 2 players of J&K state secured bronze medals for the state. |
