Kishtwar, May 12: In order to ensure that laws for the welfare of labour class are followed in letter & spirit and further to ensure that basic facilities are provided to employees working at Dam site at Dangduroo kishtwar, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Kishtwar Anoop Kumar along with Labour officer (LO) Kishtwar Fulail Sharma conducted the surprise inspection at various works on Pakkal -Dul Dam site at Dangduroo.
During the course of inspection, ALC interacted with various labourers which included skilled, semi- skilled & unskilled labourer and enquired about various facilities provided to them & assured them that all facilities as envisaged in various labour laws shall be provided to them.
He personally inspected the first aid facility, safety gears, drinking water facility, residential facility, availablity of rest room & toilets.
He also enquired about minimum wages provided to the labourers, Muster roll, overtime register, paid holiday, wage slip, register of wages, register of overtime, Employment certificate, service certificate & display of information at conspicuous places/ Notice boards by the employer.
List of the workers with complete details was also sought by him from the company for physical Inspection & target intervention. |
