RGCN celebrates 'International Nurses Day' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 12: Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing celebrated International Nurses Day today by organizing a Mega Event in the memory of Florence Nightingale the founder of the modern Nursing. Series of activities Various events comprises of Sports Activities such as Chess, Volleyball, Carrom, 100mts & 200mts Race, Badminton & Cultural and creational activities Activities such as singing Competition, Dance, mime Face Painting, Pot Painting, Debates, Quiz Competition, etc were organized by the Students and the staff members of the college. Pavitar Singh Bhardwaj (Retd. Session Judge) was Chief Quest on the Occasion and highlighted the services to be rendered by the nursing professionals and asked Dr. C.L.Wakhloo an eminent Academician was the Guest of Honour on the Occasion. He shared his valuable thoughts and great experience of his life about the incidents related to this sector. He further guided students about the importance of this profession and told them to serve the society with a noble heart and mind. The Chairman of the College M S Katoch while talking highlighted the importance of Nursing Profession. He said that Florence Nightingale commonly known as Lady with Lamp who founded modern Nursing in the world started her journey in the field of nursing during Crimean War. |
