BSF School Jammu observes Anti Terrorism Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 21: Anti-Terrorism Day was held in BSF School Jammu in the memory of former Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated away on this day in the year 1991. The function was presided over by Indraj Singh DIG/Prov. FTR HQ BSF Jammu, Administrator BSF School Jammu, he enlightened the students with his precious words and encouraged them to participate in nation building programmes. The purpose of observing Anti-Terrorism Day is to spread the message of global peace and non-violence. Deter vulnerable youth from following cult practices and being misguided. Commemorate and honour the sacrifices made by thousands of soldiers who battled against terrorism. Pay homage to the victims who lost their lives in terrorist attacks. Devise ways and hold awareness programs to protect the future generations from radical influence. A Symposium, Painting Competition, Group Discussion were held in the school premises in which the students participated with great enthusiasm. In panel discussion, students discussed the threat of Terrorism and the importance of being socially responsible citizen and they should cultivate the habit of campus community to achieve success in their task. Students conversed about Nuclear weapons, terrorist role and their role in the ruin of harmony and peace of our nation. They highlighted that terrorism must be eradicated at any cost to promote social and economic prosperity of the country. |
