DMEF demands action against SRTC officials for de-boarding Govt employees | | | SRINAGAR, MAY 22: Darbar Move Employees Federation, J&K today demanded immediate action against Srinagar Regional Transport Corporation (SRTC) officials who de-boarded Government employees from a bus deployed to carry employees from Nowgam to Secretariat. Federation’s president Ovais Wani appealed the authorities to look into the matter and take an immediate action against the SRTC official involved, “It is utter humiliation of Government Darbar Move Employee performing their duties during Annual Darbar Move operation in the state,” he added. He said that a delegation of employees approached the Federation and narrated the story of humiliation, how they were forced to de-board the SRTC bus while travelling from Nowgam to secretariat this morning. He added that the SRTC officials compelled them to de-board the bus without showing any order that the bus was supposed to carry only secretariat employees; even they tried to make the official understand that the other passengers were also Drabar Move Employees who are working with Headquarters and are part of Darbar Move operation. Wani appealed the authority to enquire the matter and take action against the officials involved in the humiliation of Government employees, who had boarded the bus to reach offices and said that such incidents demoralize the Government employees who are performing their duties with honesty and dignity. He added that the Federation will call for a strike against this humiliation of Government employees, besides refusing to take part in annual Darbar Move operation.
