| Child Labour awareness campaign held | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, May 23: To check on rise of child labour, District Child Welfare Committee (DCWC) Ramban launched awareness cum inspection drive in Maitra area of district Ramban. Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Ramban, Rakesh Arora, Designated Officer Food Safety Ramban Khaminder Choudhary, Chairman DCWC, Shabir Ahmed, Committee Member Shahniwaz Wani were inspected the market. Speaking on the occasion ALC said that DCWC has a mandate to made people accountable for the child such as in the case of child labour, the employers can be punished under law. He also said that it was observed that children are not aware about good and bad touch. He informed the shopkeepers and other that the Government of India have already launched the Child Line Number (1098) for the registration of child related complaints/ information, he said and advised them to participate actively for the betterment of children in society by producing or registering information before District Child Welfare Committee regarding the child labour, Child abuse, drug abuse and other issues related to child. |
