Heated argument witnessed between NC, PC candidates in Baramulla during counting of votes

BARAMULLA, May 23: In a fit of rage, there was a heated argument between the winning candidate of NC Mohammad Akbar Lone and JKPC leader, Khursheed Ahmad Khan today when the counting of votes for Baramulla-1 Parliamentary Constituency was under progress at GDC Boys Baramulla, while as BJP candidate fails to cross 6 thousand votes in Baramulla constituency.
An eyewitness said that, after few rounds of voting, there was a heated argument between the Lok Sabha candidate for Baramulla Constituency and former police officer and JKPC leader, Khursheed.
Eye-witnesses told Early Times that, after the heated arguments, the JKPC leader left the venue while as NC leader stayed till the last moment of counting of votes. However the senior leader of National Conference and former speaker, Lone has won the Baramulla-1 Parliamentary Constituency with a margin of around 31 thousands, while as he was followed by the former IGP and senior leader of JKPC, Raja Aijaz Ali with 101378 votes.
Meanwhile, BJP candidate for Baramulla-1 Parliamentary Constituency, Mohammad Maqbool War Mohammad Maqbool War of BJP got 5425 votes, till the last reports of counting came.
Sources said that, War was the only defeated candidate of BJP who failed to lure the voters, while as the BJP party has clinched the three parliamentary seats of out of total 6 seats in Jammu and Kashmir. Notably the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is ahead in 345 of the 542 seats for which elections were held, while the BJP itself is about to cross the 300 mark.
