Court rejects bail in minor's kidnapping case | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 23: Electricity Magistrate Jammu Sudesh Sharma rejected the bail application of one Vijay Kumar who was booked by the Domana police in kidnapping case. The court after hearing senior PO Rajeev Thappa observed that allegation against the applicant/accused is very serious in nature. It is not an ordinary case of kidnapping but a case of kidnapping of minor girl. It has been repeatedly observed that women are being subjected to grave violation and their privacy is being injured. The court observed that the incidents of kidnapping in present day society are becoming more and more common and the offence itself has gained alarming proportions. The grant of bail to the accused will encourage him to commit similar offence again and again. There is nothing on record, which suggests that applicant/accused has been falsely implicated in the commission of the said offence. Such type of offence leaves a permanent scar and a serious psychological impact on the victim and also on her family members and therefore no one would normally concoct a story of kidnapping just to falsely implicate a person when no ground has been shown by defense side for false implication of accused in the commission of offence, the court observed.
